Excuse the Pun

I finally have some blogging material!

Firstly, a welcome back to Muppet’s Mum to the land of the living.  After three operations in as many months, the latest has been a success and she’s back and firing on all cylinders.  What was expected to be 5 days in hospital turned into a one night stay and she was out next day and relatively pain free for the first time in seven weeks.  She’s raring to get her fitness back and we can’t wait see her back on the bike and out with us for some decent rides along the Rail Trail.

Talking about the Rail Trail, after a year or two of pestering and cajoling the Geelong Council about the state of the track between Drysdale and Queenscliff, there is movement in the station if you’ll excuse the pun.  The fact that it hit the newspapers recently didn’t help one little bit, did it!

The Council is now in the process of re-surfacing 11k’s of the trail between Portarlington Rd and Drysdale.  They are removing all the loose large bluestones and replacing it with a hard, packed base and topped with fine bluestones.  A great improvement!

This, and the new shelter at Mannerim and the shelter and toilet at Suma Park along with the newly installed kilometre markers and the Bellarine Rail Trail is finally getting up to First Class standard.

Came across this on our ride today.  Looks like some hoons doing one burn-out too many if you’ll excuse the pun.

I have a meter reading story next and you thought I was over all of that.  It involves Dogbait, meter reading and a drug lab.

I bet you can’t wait to get a sniff of that if you’ll excuse the pun.

Easy does it MM, your brain might be ready but give the body a chance to catch up.

I’ve been retrenched as housekeeper, doggie walker and gardener so it’s caught up already.
