Yabba Dabba Do

We’ve been trying to get away with our campervan for a few weeks now but some crack always appears to thwart our plans.

The Red Dragon rang me a couple of days ago to say that the teachers had been given new computers but the Operating Systems were all Chinese so he was looking for a copy of an OS he could read.

The Chinese administration at his University leaves a lot to be desired.  He arrived back a couple of weeks ago with a new teacher (MP’s old school principal) and her flat turned out to be uninhabitable.  He fell on his sword and gave up his upmarket unit to her until it was renovated, and in the interim, he’s been living out of a suitcase in a hotel.  He hopes to be back in his flat this week, hence a lack of posts from the RD until he gets himself organised.

Our PM has addressed the US Congress this week in an awesome display of kowtowing and grovelling, a feat we have mastered over the years when we want to keep sweet with the firepower.

Of course, we kiss the Chinese arses too!  Gotta cover your bets.

Off on a long bike ride now, but before I go, the latest from the world news. A new Middle East crisis erupted last night as Dubai Television was refused permission to broadcast ‘The Flintstones’.  A spokesman for the channel said. “A claim was made that people in Dubai would not understand the humour, but we know for a fact that people in Abu Dhabi Do.”

The new government in Egypt has asked the city’s taxi drivers to drive around Cairo sounding their horns. It is thought that the familiar sounds of the city will induce a return to tranquillity and normality.

Operation Toot ‘n Calm ’em will last for the rest of the week.

Was I the only one who laughed when Julia said:

”Those of you who have spent time with Australians know that we are not given to overstatement.”

      She’ll me right mate.

I thought at first you had broken your leg, but upon closer inspection the foot attached to the bandaged leg photo has polished toenails. So either you’ve gone light in your loafers or that picture is a hoax. Good to hear that chivalry is not dead, good of your brother to give up his flat to a lady in distress. As for the rest of your post, you had me laughing out loud.

MP’s foot. I haven’t gone “light in my loafers” yet.

What did you do to MP? Is it broken? How’d she do that?

Hope she gets the cast off soon. I miss Juniors posts but I am sure it will all get straitened out later or sooner.

She hopes by this Friday all going well. She’s able to put some weight on the foot now without pain so that’s a good sign.

The Red Dragon is back posting.
