Still Here

Not much earth shattering to report of late hence the hiatus but we can always pull the weather out of the hat.

We’re unofficially into autumn now and that was a summer we didn’t have.  The prediction in September was for a wet and cool summer and they got it right.  In fact, green grass abounds everywhere and that in itself is amazing for the end of summer when the ground is usually baked hard and brown.  Our poor gum trees don’t know whether they are Arthur or Martha and have been shedding bark all over the place which is somewhat unusual.

We only had one day over 40 (New Year’s Day) and there were no days over 30c in February and all this leads to much head scratching.  School starts the first week of February and you can always count on a few stinking days to test the patience of teachers and the kiddies but not this year.

It’s like Toronto not having snow in February!

The Red Dragon has gone back to China but has been hit with some difficulties and internet problems are but one of them so you may not hear from him until things get sorted out.

We attended our lovely niece’s engagement party a couple of weeks back and Aimee and Jarryd make a handsome couple.  You can obviously see she got her good looks from me but fortunately she didn’t inherit my humility!  Seeing she’s MP’s sisters lass, I probably can’t take credit for the genetics.

Any month without snow here in Toronto is a good month.

I can see the resemblance to both mother and sister! What happened to Ninny’s cocktail dress?

The woman’s prerogative. A change of mind.

You’re right, Toronto in Feb with no snow would be quite a shock to the local population…. but it would be a GOOD shock, I’m so fed up with winter right now.
Supposed to rain here this weekend, that should melt some of the snow that’s still sticking around.
Nice looking couple, I wish them all the happiness in the world.
Everyone seems to be getting those Maori NZ style tattoos these days, have you got one yet?

No tat for me but I did hit a rebellious streak when I left full-time work and got an ear stud for awhile.

Strange this post didn’t register on my RSS feed, either that or the cold I’m battling has left me addle brained. Nice lookin’ niece and hubba hubba on her betrothed. We were 80°F today, I’m afraid summer will soon be upon us.
