Tom’s Story

February 16, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

In 2002, my brother did a tape recording with our father highlighting his life from his early childhood in London, through to his days with the British army and then his service with the Palestine Police Force and up to his emigration to Australia in 1952.

It came into my possession the other day and I’ve converted it into digital format as an mp3 file and it makes riveting listening.  It’s a chronicle of our dads life for the family and may only interest us but I thought maybe some of my readers would appreciate the story of the life of an old warrior.

It’s an hour long and is a 54Mb file, and after clicking on the following link, you can listen to it directly or save it to your computer for listening off the computer or an mp3 player.

That was absolutely fascinating. A personal perspective on significant events of the 20th Century. I loved it!
    Thank you for sharing. 🙂

    I knew you’d appreciate it.
