DD’s Birthday

Had a great day celebrating Dads 95th birthday.  He loved the attention but we left it to just 2 candles on the cake so that we didn’t risk burning the house down.  My sister did a great job organising cakes and presents and so we now head into his 96th year and we take every day as it comes.

By the way, MP and I had some great luck yesterday when we had a win on the $20 million Lotto draw.  Our ticket cost $13.10 and we managed a 7th Division of $13.30.

We’re off to get some financial advice tomorrow on the best way to invest that 20 cents.

    Ahh DB…..
Sorry to tell you this, but it sounds like you LOST 20c.

Good one, eagle eye. No, we did win 20c but lost on the editing stakes. A stressful week.

Wow 20¢, what will you do with it all? The mind just boggles with potential purchases, maybe a gumball or half a postage stamp!

Jeebus never mind the postage stamp I just looked up what Oz’s postage rates are, 98¢!

I don’t know where you got 98c from. The standard letter rate here for postage to anywhere in Oz is 60c or 65c in your moola. It just went up from 55c

thanks for reminding me, I decided to buy a lottery ticket today for the first time for years… 50 million up for grabs… and I’ll never win it if I don’t buy a ticket.

Of course, it doesn’t make the odds any better when those hordes of people who haven’t bought a ticket in years suddenly do so. 🙂
