Liquid gold

You might think it strange when I blog on the weather at times, especially when I get so excited at the thought of rain.  Well, rain is such a rarity these days that it does become the focus of one’s attention.

So you can imagine our delight when we came across this in today’s paper.  We’re getting excited at the thought of a cold, wet week, and I bet you guys in the colder climes must think we’re a sausage short of a barbeque.

Too often in the last few months we’ve been promised up to 10mm of rain and then not a zilch.

A check of the Adelaide radar threw up this heading our way and they might actually be right.  Check the percentage chance of rain and the likely amount from the the forecast table on the right.

We had to postpone a trip away next week because of other commitments.

Good timing I’d say.

we had 25-30mm of torrential rain last Monday and it’s done wonders for the grass and the flowers! The grass is actually green again, first green grass I’ve seen in my back yard since October.

Shammy – We had 10mm yesterday and more today I believe. Our grass is starting to turn green too as we had a shower or two last week.

Hope it happens for you DB, we need rain too but not anything like you need it.

June – As per the comment to Shammy but we need plenty more.
